Katrina
The worse natural disaster to hit our country since Galveston. We were back from Iraq, and now I wondered if that was just the train up to save lives in Katrina.
I have never seen the devastation as I did in Mississippi. I flew to New Orleans... they had nothing compared to the utter destruction of Mississippi.

Well the living conditions were far worse than anything I experienced in Iraq. The job was very busy but it was worth it. The worse disaster too hit our country in our lifetime... There was more needs than we were able to fill.
Several very good things came out of it though. Among them was two new was that Army and Air Force personnel were able to partner together to do a lot of good.
